Dr. Kamal B Kapur Presents Talk At BOA 2018 Conference

Founder Director Sharp Sight (Group of Eye Hospitals) Dr.Kamal B Kapur was invited to speak at the prestigious 26th Annual Conference of the BOA Bombay Ophthalmologists’ Association, held at Mumbai. While many renowned surgeons from across the country showcased their new techniques, Dr. Kapur spoke and gave a demonstration on FLACS – Femto Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery, the most advanced and promising cataract removal system. He elaborated on the procedure that is done by ultrasonic energy and spoke about the advantages of the latest technique of cataract removal.

Further, he emphasised the need to adopt new ophthalmological techniques with changing times and highlighted that the femtosecond lasers (FSL) used to perform FLACS is highly specialised. Most importantly, FSL systems reduce the ultrasonic energy utilisation for all grades of cataract and therefore, the procedure ensures better outcome with excellent results. “It’s my privilege and honour to be part of BOA and I personally feel such conferences are the best way to share and impart new technological advancements taking place in the field of ophthalmology,” said Dr. Kamal B Kapur.
