Sharp Sight Eye Hospital Conducts Live Surgery Demonstration For DOS 2018
Eminent ophthalmologists and Directors Sharp Sight (Group of Eye Hospitals) Dr Kamal B Kapur and Dr Samir Sud along with Dr Sidharth and Dr Kumar Sambhav hosted a live surgery training session during the Delhi Ophthalmological Society’s (DOS) annual conference 2018, held at New Delhi. The highlight of the conference was to share knowledge and expertise among eye surgeons to improve surgical outcomes and increase patient volume. While sharing his experience, Dr Kapur said, “It’s our privilege and honor to conduct a live surgery during this stimulating scientific programme which not only has some of the world-class speakers and delegates from across the world but it also offers a learning platform to ophthalmologists, practitioners, researchers, and educators.”
In the past too, Sharp Sight has been actively participating and involved with the transmission of such live surgery training sessions during various medical symposiums. “The live surgery was performed at Sharp Sight Swasthya Vihar and was transmitted via satellite to the conference venue for delegates to watch – a feat equaled only by a few rare private Eye hospitals in India,” added Dr Samir Sud.
DOS is India’s most prestigious eye surgeons’ meet which brings together some of the leading ophthalmologists from India and abroad. “Such conferences and webinars offer an exciting opportunity to engage with stalwarts in the field of ophthalmology and like-minded colleagues from around the globe. And, we feel proud that Sharp Sight was one of the only three eye hospitals to conduct a live surgery during the conference,” said Dr Kapur.
Thus, in a rapidly changing world, Sharp Sight has proved it yet again that the group of eye hospitals is at par with international standards when it comes to dealing with new surgical technologies in the field of ophthalmology in the country.
